Our reviews are built on a simple, consistent process, and these principles guide everything we publish:

• Hands-on testing. Recommendations are based on real-world use by real dogs, not just spec sheets.
• Honesty about downsides. Every product has trade-offs, and we tell you about them. A review with no cons isn't a review — it's an ad.
• Accuracy and updates. We revisit our guides regularly. When a product is discontinued, changes, or is beaten by something better, we update the ranking.
